Bayer Crop Science Limited Bangladesh is a joint venture between Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation and Bayer AG. The company has been operating in the country since its inception in 2002, after the global acquisition of Aventis CropScience by Bayer. Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh and home to more than 15 million people, is the headquarters for Bayer in Bangladesh. Globally, Bayer operates in three divisions – Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Health and Crop Science – and the Animal Health business unit. Locally, Bayer’s operations in Bangladesh are focused on the Crop Science division.
